A painting which shows the Australian built replica of H M Endeavour standing off Whitby, awaiting the tide to enter harbour. It is an image which harks back to bygone days when this would have been a commonplace sight. The scene has changed little over the years. The addition of the concrete and timber extensions to the piers was only completed in the early 1900's.
